Château Dollard

Wonderful place most important my mom feels safe and secure, which gives me peace of mind! The staff are always willing to help, polite and patient, caring and understanding. My mom loves and looks forward to the daily activities and exercises with Patrick. He makes everything fun and interesting. The daily food menu is great with a variety of food choices. Premises are always clean and well maintained. Overall very happy and most grateful to have found the right place for my mom to still have her independence with assistance.

My ex-husband had a stay of almost a year, from October 2023 to September 2024, then he fell and broke his hip and did not return to Chateau Dollard. He passed away Novemeber 2024. There are some very good staff members in the social aspect of Chateau Dollard and they have wonderful attitude towards residents. There are some very good, hardworking p.a.b. care workers with a caring, helpful attitude towards residents. Not all of them though. This is all good for seniors who are still able to function for themselves on a daily basis but not when things get difficult. Things got worse for my ex-husband in that year and I began to add on a lot of services/fees. Very expensive for any little thing and disappointing that some services were not carried out properly or in a timely fashion. Chateau Dollard needs more properly trained, knowledgeable trained care workers to deal with frail residents and have an emphatic attitude as well. Sadly, I was not able to find him another place to stay.

My aunt has been living at Chateau Dollard for 2 years now and we are very pleased with the services. She receives the proper care, Patrick is fantastic with the daily activities and there is a good variety of meals selection. Also it’s not too big so it feels like a family to her!

My 87 year old mother moved into the Chateau Dollard about 2 months ago. We have been very happy with the care my mother has received since she moved in. First and foremost, there is an onsite nurse who is fabulous. He doesn't overlook a single detail about my mother's health. And an onsite doctor is available, which is a very big advantage. The caregivers who visit my mother 4 times a day are friendly and caring. My mother's apartment is big, bright and always kept clean by the staff. The administration has been helpful and extremely patient with my endless questions and requests. This is my mother's second care facility. We are far happier at the Chateau Dollard than we were at her old facility. Since the move, I have never once asked myself whether this was the right move. It was. Without question.
