Hospitality Manager does not know how to do customer service. When no manager is available during the weekend means the lack of staff they have. That alone speaks volumes and how the seniors would be treated. Think how one treats you first before putting your love one in a home where they care more about getting money.

This company tricked my mother with dementia into signing a lease and when doctors letter was provided stating she could not live there they charged her $6000 to cancel the lease. Shameful actions by a company that suppose to help people with dementia rather than take advantage of them.

My mother is very happy here. She is quite independent but is happy to have access to the meals and cleaning services provided. She enjoys a variety of activities with her fellow seniors, including gardening, chair yoga, and outings. I am very comfortable leaving her in their care.

My mom stayed on the 5th floor for physio a month and a half. The staff are kind and doing their best to help the patients physically, but I visited my mom a lot to help her mentally, to talk to her and for support cause most patients are alone in their room, not much visitors, lot of them sad and alone. They eat together in a cafeteria, but some in their room, cause they are not able to go the cafeteria. Food not bad, I brought her fruits and some food. Thanks to nurses, physio guy Naaman, super kind and helpful, Tufik and Myrna very helpful, all staff, Mireille, Sonia and all, very kind people ❤

PLEASE READ! Sad to see procedures trumping people... My mom is in a senior's residence ( Horizon Gestion de résidences )and she receives full care as she is no longer autonomous. The nurses do an amazing job on a daily basis, despite being short staffed and to top it off, as all other frontline workers they have to work through these unprecedented times with COVID. As a small token of appreciation, we got each nurse a gift card and some chocolates to thank them for all they do and wish them all the very best for the holidays. Immediately on the same day that we distributed them, the administration from the residence took back all the gifts, returned them to us and sent a communication to the staff that if they accepted any gifts, they could be dismissed. Apparently they are governed by regulations that don't allow them to accept any compensation that can sway them to provide preferential treatment to patients which I can understand although have some heart and flexibility to allow small gestures like this versus threatening their jobs during the holidays. We are so disappointed from the situation and this goes to show you how some people are all about reinforcing processes and procedures that they have no sense of humanity. Résidence L'Alto , this is not how you should treat your valued employees.
