Résidence Le Mile-End

I wanted to warmly thank the girl at the reception of the Mile End residence for her welcome and efficiency during our visit. We appreciated her invaluable help in obtaining the information we needed. Thank you for your professionalism and kindness.

A resident had a dog literally save her life and this place told her she had to get rid of her emotional support animal or move out. Now she has applied for a review under the law and it has been 2 months with no response. What disgusting treatment of a disabled woman.

A disabled woman asked if she could have a dog. Was told yes. Then gets a dog and is told it has to leave or she does. Seems like a real nice place to live......

A member of my family has lived in this residence for several years. The staff and administration are attentive to the residents' needs. Mr. Tremblay, the director, does everything he can to make the residents' stay pleasant, and he succeeds. There is a recreation department, themed meals, a library, film screenings, bingo, and organized outings (when not in use during the pandemic). The table service is courteous, and the portions are adequate. It is possible to have meals prepared for takeout if you don't want to eat in the dining room. Before the pandemic, there was a shuttle service that took residents to the grocery store once a week. I sincerely hope that this service will eventually resume, as it was very convenient. It is true that there was some grinding noise (not jackhammer noise) during the renovation of some apartments. The residence is indeed located on a busy street during the day, but I never noticed any excessive noise. Noise tolerance varies from person to person, as I know several residents whose balconies overlook de Gaspé Street and they don't complain. The central location of this residence, with a pharmacy at the entrance, several nearby cafes and restaurants, as well as a small park, grocery stores, and the Laurier metro station close by, certainly compensates for some of the inconveniences associated with urban living.

The residence has incredibly kind and helpful tenants. There's a great sense of community and solidarity within this small group. The manager, Mr. Tremblay, is very competent and always ready to lend a hand. The cafeteria food is excellent.
