My brother, who has been here for a month and a half, told me he has to drink water every 15 minutes during the night because his throat has become very dry since he arrived. I put a Honeywell hygrometer in his room to measure the humidity level. The device read 15%. That's much too dry. Other residents have also reported having dry throats. -> To respond to the person who wrote "as agreed during our last discussions" regarding the humidity level in the room, these "discussions" did not take place between me and anyone else. I installed a humidifier, but according to my brother, it hasn't made much difference. Mother Nature will take care of the problem with the warmer weather outside. Upon his arrival at the Gite, he was housed in the wing for people with cognitive and physical disabilities. He uses a walker, but he doesn't fall while using it. He's not prone to running away, doesn't have Alzheimer's, and isn't violent. Despite this, he's not allowed to go outside unaccompanied. In any case, all the doors are locked with padlocks or a digital code for six months of the year. He needed better supervision, but not to be incarcerated. On the positive side, the meals are good and his room is clean.

My mother lived there for a while before being transferred to a long-term care facility. If I tell you that she was better off in a long-term care facility than here, that says a lot. The residents are not respected at all by the staff (coordinators) and the administrative staff. I do not recommend this establishment.

Nice and clean old folks home.

Great! The staff is attentive, the residents are very sociable with each other and with the staff, so it's easy for new residents to make friends. There are several activities offered to keep residents entertained. Very welcoming. The premises are always clean and the quality of the meals served to the residents is excellent!
