Résidence Haut-Bois

My mother is currently staying there, and I must say the service is truly exceptional. The staff are empathetic, they care about their residents, and they communicate with families promptly if anything is needed. The room has a large patio door, and the place is very clean. I thank the staff for being so attentive to my mother. I have complete confidence in Résidences Haut-Bois! Thank you.

I have a family member currently stuck in this horrible place. It’s a nightmare for all of us to witness the lack of empathy from the rude staff, total disregard for the person basic and small needs. Every time they make it a fight for us to try help improve their stays they will take a pleasure to tell you that now they are the boss and they know what’s best for your elderly and that you have no say in it anymore. If you didn’t guess by now, bottom line is save yourself from the pain to see your loved one being treated like in a gulag prison and run away before it’s too late. Do not get fooled by false positive review and the somewhat decent look of the building. It’s a trap. You have been warned!

Our mother stayed at the residence for almost two years. She was always treated with respect and kindness by all the staff until the very end. A special thank you to the director, Lucie Dauphinais, for her dedication and to the nurses who were able to quickly identify medical errors that were affecting her health. I want to highlight the exceptional work of the assistant director, Ms. Dauphinais. Her attentive listening, open-mindedness, and creative problem-solving skills greatly reassured me after a difficult start for my parents at the residence. Among the staff, there are some real gems. Their kindness, good humor, gentleness, patience, and dedication to the seniors deserve recognition. Observe them, and you'll recognize them. There are also those unsung heroes we rarely see, whose dedication makes life more pleasant for our seniors. Recently, for example, my mother, who has Alzheimer's, said to us, "This is so good! I'm going to go and congratulate the cook." Thank you to all these creators of little moments of happiness.
