I am taking the time to leave this comment, even though my mother's stay at the long-term care facility was short. My mother received excellent care. I would like to thank the day, evening, and night staff on the third floor, east wing, for their presence, their attentiveness, and their respect, both towards my mother and towards us. Was everything perfect? ​​No. But did the staff do their best? Yes. This experience allowed me to reconnect with long-term care facilities and to witness the humanity and dedication of some staff members. In her final hours, my mother was cared for with gentleness and respect until her last breath. We never felt like we were intruding. Thank you to the entire team for the care and support provided.

My father passed away here, on the 4th floor, on November 28, 2024, after living here for two years. They were exceptional. They provided end-of-life palliative care worthy of a dedicated palliative care unit (I've been a palliative care nurse for 22 years, so I know what I'm talking about). They gave him all the medication he needed to alleviate his suffering, attentive hygiene care, oral care, and they even washed his hair without me asking (thank you, Alexandre). They cared for him with both competence and compassion. Thank you, Alexandre, for your support and excellent care. Thank you to all of you on the nursing team, whose names I unfortunately forget, but whose faces and impact on me I will never forget. Thank you to the patient attendants; you make all the difference, please know that. Thank you also to the pharmacist who came to my father's bedside to make sure the doses were sufficient. I felt supported and reassured, while also having the privacy I needed to spend those last moments with my father. You allowed me to grieve in the most beautiful way possible. Thank you ❤️ M-L

In the list of support persons for my wife and me, I included a name that shouldn't be there. Please replace Chantalle's name with Isabelle Lepage. She, along with Maude and Sylvie, and the other caregivers, made our 55th wedding anniversary, celebrated at the center, a gift for life, as long as we cherish the memories. My aunt stayed at the Saint-Augustin Residential and Long-Term Care Centre for over eight months. I would like to sincerely thank the staff on the 4th floor for the excellent care they provided. A big thank you to the orderlies, nurses, and all the other professionals who work at this facility. Throughout her stay, we had complete confidence in the compassionate care she received, right up to the very end.

My mother recently passed away, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to the staff on the 4th floor who were wonderful to her.
