What a horrible place! Care givers refusing to speak English and hiding in a closed room watching TV, not looking after patients. My mothers worker hid her call bell and I found her trying to clean up feces that was all over everywhere! It had been there a very long time as it had dried hard on surfaces and on her! I complained about the worker and nothing was done! No follow-up! Their idea of an activity room is a small rectangular room without windows or artwork where the chairs are squashed along the walls and a miserable person throws a beach ball at them saying “catch” in a miserable tone without a smile. The smell of urine is horrid.This place should be shut down! The outside is not maintained properly and the outdoor facilities are unusable! AVOID this place!

Far too expensive for this seedy place.

The staff is very attentive. The food is very good with a nice variety on the menu. I couldn't ask for better. And it's very sunny…

Jane Fyfe, Director of Care was extremely responsive to our needs, often returning calls and emails within hours, with full information and insights from her team to address any issues questions we had. This facility is affected by the same institutional challenges as nursing homes across Canada; the struggle for good/great staff in this very difficult industry. This team has faired well, ESPECIALLY if your loved one is able to communicate and advocate for themselves. Our family member was UNable to advocate for herself and received less care (in our opinion) as a consequence . **PLEASE NOTE; this is also the case in most of the 5STAR reviewed facilities and premium homes, if your read deeply enough into the reviews. Overall, the cost and care ratio here is good, and if your loved one can still speak and interact, I would recommend it. If they can't,.. I would trust that Jane F is continuing to make progress, and suggest you read the subsequent reviews to make up your mind.
