CHSLD Centre Le Cardinal

My Dad was there from 2017 to 2024. I would have given 5 Stars for the services and for most of the people working there, 99% of them are awesome human being. The Social Worker was BAD, she did not seem to care and in the last days of my Dad I did not feel like I had any support from her. They also were very slow to transfer my Dad to the hospital the month before he died, and it might have cost him a few good years.

I regret putting my mom there. They're big on chemical restraint. Cleanliness is neglected. I send emails, and it's difficult to get a response. I could go on and on. I'll respond to your reply!!! The photos aren't several months old because the floor in my mom's room was finally done at the end of the week of March 4, 2024, so yes, finally, after more than 14 months of requests, it's finally been fixed. Hopefully, the cleanliness will be done at the same time because it was very poorly done. I had a meeting on March 6, 2024, and they finally listened to me because the same request had been made at the end of November to completely remove the Risperdale, which completely deprived my mom of her abilities. By the end of March, she'll finally be gone, but I had to write here and file a complaint to get things done or for them to listen to me.

Not a CHSL... But a real living environment! The staff is compassionate, dedicated, competent, cheerful, and above all, unfailingly kind (all shifts included). Activities, care, food, specialized services, location on the banks of the St. Lawrence River... everything is perfect! I recommend it to anyone who wants their loved ones to be well cared for and safe.

Best long-term care facility I've ever seen! My grandmother has been there for a year. The staff is truly pleasant, helpful, and kind! You can tell they love their job and they really take care of the residents! I'm not worried about my grandmother there; I know she's well cared for and looked after. Plus, the place doesn't feel run-down like so many other facilities... It's well-maintained, airy, with large common rooms and a beautiful outdoor area at the back by the water. Wonderful, thank you to the whole team for everything you do!
