Chest pains resulted in relatively fast triage, and an ECG within the first hour of arrival. After that, silence for the next 5. I only assumed that the chest pains were not serious as no one told me but to just wait to see a doctor. Over 6 hours after arrival I had had enough and left without being told a thing about the ECG, chest pains or other. Two stars only for the first hour (triage nurse and admin person who were pleasant and professional). Don't go here if you have any health concerns unless you pack a good book, battery pack to recharge your phone/laptop, food/drinks (as nothing nearby) and a blanket.

Expect a small wait but where can you go that doesn't right

Had a reasonable polite view of the services here. I revise that change. Cannot even manage to give the point of a star for the speed of the services given (No choice in the matter in selecting the star for a posting). Snails travel more rapidly than what has been shown here. May as well make reservation for the night and demand food be included for the duration of the waiting. It is a mockery of the pride of what should be the profession of the health care system. Deplorable when clients who go for a service are forced to squander an entire day on chair waiting for some professional care.

This hospital is an abomination to care. We spend an agonizing day with my 4 year son who was in severe pain from a suspected broken ankle. It took 7 hours for him to see a doctor in the emergency room. If you have a choice stay away, far away from this place!

Horrible. We were sent here by the ski patrol on March 26 2016 with my friend who had a ski accident at the Owl's Head ski resort, and had a very deep heavily bleeding wound in his leg. The friend is American. There were 30 people in the Emergency waiting room and one doctor and one nurse. My friend was charged immediately $600 and then we spent 4 hours in the Emergency room without any medical help (no antibiotic or anything). We came at 2:40 pm, at at 6:30 I asked the nurse how soon will the doctor see us, and she replied that they now admit people who came here at 10 a.m. (meaning that we can easily spend another 5 hours). We left the hospital (they at least returned the payment) and went to the Newport VT Hospital, where my friend was immediately seen by the doctor and got help. It is a shame for Canada to have such a horrible medical system. I do not blame this one nurse, I suppose the other 30 people in the Emergency room also had serious health problems, but the whole system is just a complete failure.
