CHSLD St-Georges

I would like to comment upon the exceptional professionalism of the lovely Nurse Hélène. My husband stayed briefly on the 2nd floor, and Nurse Hélène displayed tact, kindness, and unsurpassable efficiency. She is an extraordinary nurse and an extraordinary human being. It is difficult for me to evaluate the services at St, Georges inasmuch as he was there transitionally, but it is easy to recognize Hélène's attitude and job performance as outstanding.

Terrible place - letting someone dehydrate until he has to be sent to hospital. Not informing family! Avoid it at all costs!

The nursing staff and physiotherapy staff are excellent and took good care of our brother. However, be aware that Dr Martel does not speak English which can make important medical discussions very difficult for those who are not completely fluent in French.

St George is a wonderful long term care facility. My mom''s dementia is quite advanced and she could no longer be cared for at home. We were lucky when a bed opened up at St George, even though we had our mom on another long term care facility list. The staff have been amazing from the first day, mom has been there for a week now and her demeanor has totally changed for the better. We are so happy with the care we've decided to keep her there. Thanks to the staff at St-George. Cheers!
