If I could give this facility zero stars, I absolutely would. Even one star feels far too generous.
My family trusted this place with the care of my grandmother during one of the most vulnerable periods of her life, and what she received instead was neglect, indifference, and a complete lack of compassion. My grandmother survived only one year there a long, painful, and heartbreaking year. From the beginning, it was clear that meaningful care and engagement were not priorities. In her unit, the TV was “broken” for an entire year. Every time we visited, we found residents sitting silently in front of a blank screen with nothing to stimulate them. We later learned that another unit was dealing with the exact same issue. Whether through negligence or apathy, the result was the same: residents were left without even the most basic forms of engagement. There were a few genuinely kind nurses and caregivers, and I am grateful for them. Unfortunately, they were the exception, not the rule. During her time there, my grandmother experienced repeated falls, resulting in injuries including a fractured arm, a black eye, and several head impacts. We repeatedly asked for preventative measures, such as using a chair to support her, but those requests were dismissed. She continued to fall almost daily. One of the most distressing incidents occurred when she was dropped during a transfer. We were reassured that she was “fine,” but in the days that followed, her condition rapidly deteriorated. She became non-verbal and showed alarming changes. Just five days later, we received a call telling us she was in a coma and that her condition was simply “end-stage dementia.” While we understand dementia is a progressive illness, the sudden decline we witnessed was devastating and deeply concerning. On her final days, when she was already unconscious, the level of care suddenly improved. We stayed with her around the clock, and the staff’s attention during that time was noticeably better. But it is heartbreaking to know she did not receive that same compassion when she was awake and relying on them. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
If you value your loved one’s comfort, dignity, and well-being, please look elsewhere. What our family experienced is something no family should ever have to endure.

A wonderful place; the staff's attentiveness is extremely pleasant, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The food is delicious thanks to their excellent catering services and the wide variety of dishes they offer. In addition to the great options for enjoying the place, it's an excellent choice for those seeking a safe and pleasant environment, and for those who want their parents to feel at ease. I highly recommend it.

A home for young people with a heart of gold ♥️ The correct address is 3155, boul. Michel-Ange, Laval, H7E 0J1. And it truly is a wonderful long-term care facility for residents and their families, as well as for employees.

It's a very beautiful building, but the big generator is very polluting.
