3.9 / 5Bad place!! No towels to clean residences !! Dishonest staff !! A lot of theft !! They steel clothes and soaps and jewelry etc… No fresh fruits !! Very cheap on food !! Staff keep the residences smelling bad and their rooms. Not recommended !!
This is the worst care my brother ever had there ...laying on the floor for how long before anyone found him...in the hospital for weeks...and not 1 person phoned me about him and to tell me he was back...and as for his social worker one word ..USELESS
This review is intended to shed light on my experience as a daughter of a former resident, in order to bring positive change and support for this residence and other Senior Residences offering care. My Father lived on the 4th floor of the Resource Intermédiare section since it opened in 2015. He recently passed on February 2 due to Covid 19. His friend and fellow resident whom he shared a dinner table daily with , also passed due to the same cause, and their were others too. Looking back on my experience of participating in the decision to place a parent in a residence with intermediate care I would encourage all family members to do their research, and try to come up with a better arrangement, and solution years in advance. To become pro active in working with organizations, and government which would support change for a better quality of life for our senior parents. After years of service to our families, and society our Seniors deserve a higher level of care than the standard set by our society & government particularly the one I observed here during the past 5 years. The building is new , modern, clean, yet through out the years ( pre covid) I feel that if I were not a regular visitor I would not have caught several un acceptable slip ups by the daily quick turn around staff. While these slip ups, errors ( my Father was administered another patient's medicine) were signalled each time I came across them and was able to meet with head of staff, and changes were made to improve, my sweet dear Dad always preferred I let things slide as not to stir up. However, I could not allow my Father to sleep in urine soiled sheets, which I dedicated myself to see corrected and eventually did with much appreciated efforts by a dedicated and respected Arroussia Essid. It is important to note that every time I did signal these slip ups or errors I did it with the utmost respect, level headed tone even though my heart was heavy and in pain, as I wondered what slip ups happen when I am not visiting. Also during pre covid, Arroussia was a driving force in efforts to keep staff and prevent the quality workers from leaving, though I would say three of a larger team really remained constant within the last 2.5 of the 5 years. Sadly, these three valued care givers always seemed overworked, stretched out thin with not much energy to display friendliness, past half a forced smile due to them being understaff and over worked. Another important unsettling observation again pre covid, the shortage of staff during summer, week-ends, and nice weather. In the past year during the first wave, I witnessed first hand, the staff do their best under these most challenging of times. During the first wave we were not allowed to visit. My Father was served his meals in his room and came out of the first wave intact. We video chatted every day, and while it was so hard, we were so relieved he survived an outbreak during that shut down. Once we were reunited when visits became allowed I did observe some improvements, the one that stood out most was the extra staff. Sadly, I observed the extra staff start to dwindle towards the 2nd wave and once again I felt there started to be a turn around of staff as I did not recognize them as regulars. During the 2nd wave, I feel that the level of preventative secure measures became slack leading up to the day when my Father passed.
My grandmother is very happy with the treatments and service. Glad to see people working as hard to give back to the elders.
I love to deal with familiprix (Samir bouras ) he has an amazing service always on time and very professional thank you for your services
